Outstanding Cayao! - Rated 90 POINTS by The Wine Advocate 2003 Botalcura Cayao Botalcura A Proprietary Blend Dry Red Table wine from Valle Central, Chile The 2003 Cayao is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Carmenere, 12% Malbec, and 4% Syrah. Opaque purple-colored, the nose reveals pain grille, pencil lead, spice box, black currant, and black cherry. The wine has a firm entry onto the palate with enough structure to evolve for 3-5 years. Balanced with layers of ripe fruit, savory flavors, and a lengthy finish, it should be at its best from 2011 to 2020.
